At this year's sixty-third annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Ocean Independence is debuting the newly refit M/Y Pure Bliss.
Boat show guests are invited to tour the luxuriously appointed 144-foot Burger yacht featuring a clever layout of seven guest staterooms, a vast sundeck, airy salon, fold-down balcony, an elevator, and a spacious owner's suite. Pure Bliss is the perfect choice for multi-generational family charters this winter throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas at $165,000-175,000 per week. Pure Bliss has also just been listed for sale for $17,500,000.
In addition to M/Y Pure Bliss, Ocean Independence also has private tours available aboard motor yacht Samara at nearby Bahia Mar as well as Lady JJ, Freddy and Bella Rona which are located just a few minutes from the show and available by appointment-only.
Ocean Independence, which has established itself as one of the top firms since its humble beginnings in 1991 has signed on with Climate Partner to become a carbon neutral company by 2035, which forms part of their new Environmental Social Governance (ESG) strategy named ORCA; Our Resolution to Care and Act.
ORCA, which is comprised of four pillars - healthy environment, social responsibility, thriving people and ethical behaviour - is implemented throughout Ocean Independence's fourteen global offices and has been adopted by its fulltime staff of over one hundred employees.
The firm is committed to ensuring a healthy environment for future generations through sustainable actions like reducing the carbon footprint produced by corporate travel, streamlining office consumption, and offsetting the carbon released on charters with the help of Climate Partner while also advising sustainable alternatives for new build or refit customers.
In addition to sustainability, their commitment to gender equality and diversity in what has historically been a male-dominated industry is apparent in their most recent hire of Michela Bellini. Bellini, who has joined the Ocean Independence team as a sales broker, has been a driving force in the industry since 1992. Bellini has worked at Benetti, Riva, Ferretti Group and as the head of sales at CRN and she now brings her experience to Ocean Independence's new-build sector.
This commitment to gender equality is also reflected in their fleet which includes veteran superyacht Captain Kelly Gordon who recently accepted the prestigious Master 500 GT Award in Montenegro.
Ocean Independence's boutique approach and global presence allows them to offer a true end-to-end service - not only through sales and charters, but also through new build and yacht operation management, aviation, finance, and berthing. The aviation department's partnership with Avcon Jet is led by Philipp Wieser and is comprised of nearly seventy aircrafts across Europe from light jets to business airliners through a customer friendly app offering preferential rates and services tailored specifically for Ocean Independence clients.
