As regulations in the superyacht industry become more stringent, making optimal use of onboard space while ensuring compliance is increasingly essential. Following extensive research and testing, ROAM Boats, in partnership with Vanguard, has launched a four-metre rescue tender, the ROAM 400 SOLAS.
The ROAM 400 is a compact and lightweight successor to the popular Vanguard 4.5-metre SOLAS tender. Designed for vessels with limited yacht garage space, this smaller tender packs both style and performance. Equipped with a powerful but manageable 15-25hp SOLAS outboard engine, it boasts a sleek superyacht-white finish and teak decking.
Engineered for complete reliability and specifically designed for man-overboard rescue operations, the ROAM 400 SOLAS is equipped for rapid launch/response and can coordinate with life rafts when emergencies arise. Beyond rescue, the ROAM 400 is equally well-suited for daily operational support such as equipment handling and yacht maintenance.
Aside from size, power, and practicality, what distinguishes the ROAM 400 from other SOLAS vessels? Its unique features include customisable bench seating, engine colour, and Seadek flooring that can all be matched to the mothership. Additionally, there's the option to add a deck package to include chocks and/or a trolley.
As part of the Superyacht Tenders and Toys Group, no one understands the evolving demands of the superyacht industry better than we do at ROAM Boats." says CEO Josh Richardson. "The ROAM 400 SOLAS illustrates this commitment by offering a unique, compact, high-performance tender that meets rigorous safety standards without compromising on style or functionality.”
