20/01/2024 - 08:40 in Engine by Torqeedo

Torqeedo GmbH, the world's leading manufacturer of electric and hybrid drives for the marine market, will be presenting its innovative sustainable mobility solutions at boot 2024 in Düsseldorf from 20 to 28 January. The company will bring its products to life at an immersive booth in Hall 10.

Visitors to the trade fair will discover Torqeedo's wide range of electric drive systems from 1 kW up to 200 kW on a system level, for small leisure boats with the brand-new Travel Family, for sailboats and powerboats up to 12 tons with an ultra-efficient Cruise system, or for larger boats and yachts up to 120 feet with the modular Deep Blue systems. The Customized Solutions team, which serves professional mariners and boatbuilders, will also be on hand to explain how Torqeedo's high-tech drive systems improve life onboard as they seamlessly manage both the propulsion and complete onboard energy generation and distribution.

Sustainability remains a hot topic with boaters, and Torqeedo partners will display their clean boating innovations across the show. Namely, the show will host the world premiere of the Oceanis 37.1e - the first time Beneteau will show the electrified version of Oceanis' celebrated new model to the public. Among its green credentials, the 37-footer boasts a Cruise 12.0 Fixed Pod and 10 kW battery bank as its emission-free powerplant.

The 100% electric Delphia 10 Lounge Top is also on exhibit, an ideal vessel for cruising picturesque lakes or urban waterways with friends or family. This comfortable, spacious vessel is powered by a fully integrated Deep Blue system with 50 kW inboard motor, 40 kWh Deep Blue battery, solar integration and onboard energy management.

Torqeedo will also present a visionary Deep Blue design study to the public for the first time. The design study emphasizes the team's willingness to constantly rethink and stay ahead of the competition in the field of clean boating and maritime transport.

Travel Simulator, Panel Talk and Ocean Bottle cooperation complete Torqeedo's trade fair appearance

An innovative boating simulator will allow visitors to experience the performance and functionality of Torqeedo motors firsthand. Drivers steer their virtual boat over a lake, collecting plastic waste. The person with the highest score will receive the new Travel XP from Torqeedo as the grand prize. Torqeedo will also showcase its cooperation with Ocean Bottle, which has been in place since September 2023.

As a further highlight, Torqeedo CEO Fabian Bez will participate in a panel talk on the Blue Innovation Dock in hall 10 at 1.30 - 2.30 p.m. on Sunday, 21 January, where he will provide insights into the future of electric mobility on the water. On Monday, 22 January, Matthias Vogel, SVP Customized Solutions, and Thomas Wiedemann, SVP Global Program Management, will present the details of the extensive overall portfolio. The events offer opportunities to enter into dialogue directly with leading minds in the industry and get exciting insights into Torqeedo's vision.
