A final touch to award the new 6 Metre European champions

Following six intense days of competition on the Ria de Pontevedra and seven races disputed, on Saturday, the Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo hosted the closing dinner for the Trofeo Xacobeo, the event held to decide the new 6 Metre European Champions. During the dinner, which included the sailors, boat owners, sponsors, collaborators and members of the organization, all the prize winners were presented with their awards and the two great winners of the continental title: King Juan Carlos’ “Bribon” in the Classics division, and the Finnish team Henrik Andersin’s “Oiva” in the Open.

The official act was attended by King Juan Carlos, the Infanta Doña Elena, Diego Calvo, counsellor of Presidency, Justice and Sports for the Xunta de Galicia, Nava Castro, parliament representative for Tourism, Telmo Martín, Mayor of Sanxenxo, José Ramón Lete, General Secretary for Sport, Manuel Villaverde, President of the Galician Royal Sailing Federation, Pedro Cardona, Commander Director of the Escuela Naval de Marín, Sauro Martínez, Captain Major of the ‘Cofradía’ (lit. Guild), Ramón Guinarte, Director of the Mancomunidade del Salnés and Pedro Campos, President of the RCNS, among other authorities.
