ePropulsion powers major electric boat launches at boot Düsseldorf 2026

16/01/2026 - 10:47 in Motor boat by Comunicati

ePropulsion, a global leader in electric marine propulsion systems and services, will return to boot Düsseldorf to demonstrate how advanced electric propulsion is redefining boating across multiple market segments. From compact day cruisers to large luxury yachts, ePropulsion systems will be powering multiple high-profile boat launches at the show, underlining the scalability, reliability and quiet performance of its technology.

Among the multiple boats on display using ePropulsion solutions, two new international launches in particular illustrate how electric propulsion is enabling both refined day boating and large-scale luxury yachting.

ESEA F800: compact cruising designed around electric propulsion

Hall 4, Stand E04

Making its debut at boot Düsseldorf, the ESEA F800 is a fully electric day cruiser designed from the outset around its electric drivetrain. At the heart of the boat is the ePropulsion P20 electric rotatable POD drive, a fully steerable system engineered to deliver highly responsive handling and exceptional manoeuvrability. The rotatable pod enables sharp, precise turns and confident low-speed control, allowing the F800 to pivot cleanly and manoeuvre easily in confined spaces.

By rotating the entire propulsion unit, the P20 POD drive directs thrust exactly where it is needed, providing immediate response to helm input and making close-quarters handling and docking intuitive and stress-free. Integrated seamlessly into the hull, the system also enhances hydrodynamic efficiency, supporting smooth, quiet operation and optimised range. The result is a compact electric cruiser that showcases how ePropulsion's rotatable pod technology can transform on-water handling while maintaining comfort, efficiency and sustainability.

Wia 520 HardTop: flagship electric performance at scale

Hall 1, Stand B90

Also launching internationally at boot Düsseldorf is the Wia 520 HardTop, one of the largest fully electric yachts currently on the market. Developed in collaboration with ePropulsion, the yacht is powered by a high-capacity electric propulsion system engineered for long-duration, zero-emission cruising.

The ePropulsion solution delivers smooth, quiet performance for 8-12 hours of continuous operation, supporting full-day cruising after a standard overnight marina charge. Its optimised integration demonstrates how electric propulsion can scale to larger vessels without compromising comfort, usability or range, while significantly enhancing onboard tranquillity.

"boot Düsseldorf provides a powerful snapshot of how far electric propulsion has come," said Danny Tao, CEO and co-founder of ePropulsion. "We are working with an increasing number of boatbuilders who are integrating electric propulsion as a core part of their designs, not as an alternative. The boats on display this year demonstrate the breadth of applications our systems can support, from compact leisure craft to large, fully electric yachts, and underline the growing confidence in electric propulsion as a practical, scalable solution for the marine industry."

Across the exhibition, visitors will find ePropulsion systems powering a growing number of electric and hybrid boats, reflecting the rapid adoption of electric propulsion across the marine sector. Visitors are invited to meet the ePropulsion team at boot Düsseldorf in Hall 10, Stand D42, to learn more about its full range of electric propulsion solutions, including advanced pod systems, integrated drives and energy management technologies that are shaping the future of sustainable boating.
