Cantiere delle Marche (CdM), one of the leading international builders of luxury explorer yachts, announces a significant reorganisation of its shareholding structure. The holding company CLP2, controlled by Giovanni Cagnoli through Carisma and jointly owned by the Loro Piana family, has acquired a majority stake in the shipyard.

The transaction marks a further step in the growth and consolidation path that CdM has pursued in recent years, strengthening its position among the global benchmarks in high-end yacht building.

Founded in 2010 in Ancona by Ennio Cecchini and Vasco Buonpensiere, the company has established itself over time for the consistency of its vision and its ability to combine innovation with artisanal authenticity — values that best embody the Italian tradition in shipbuilding.

With the entry of CLP2, CdM will benefit from new resources and expertise aimed at supporting its industrial and commercial development, while preserving the core principles that have defined its success: absolute quality, reliability, passion, and a pioneering spirit.

Corporate governance will remain firmly anchored in continuity: Ennio Cecchini, as Chairman, and Vasco Buonpensiere, as CEO, remain shareholders and will continue to lead the company’s strategy and operations, ensuring the coherence of the vision that has made CdM an internationally recognised brand.

“This step marks a new chapter in the growth and positioning of Cantiere delle Marche,” said Vasco Buonpensiere, CEO and co-founder.
“We share with Carisma and the Loro Piana family the same vision of excellence, discretion, and authenticity that has always defined our entrepreneurial approach,” added Ennio Cecchini.

The Carisma group, already active in several sectors of Italian excellence, aims to accompany CdM in its development path, enhancing the human capital and reputation built over fifteen years of success.

“Together with the Loro Piana family, we have found in Cantiere delle Marche an extraordinary example of passion, expertise, and authenticity — values that have always guided the growth of the companies in which we invest,” said Giovanni Cagnoli. “Our goal is to support the international expansion of the company while fully respecting its DNA and outstanding team.”

With its new ownership structure, Cantiere delle Marche further strengthens its position as an Italian excellence recognised worldwide, supported by solid governance, a prestigious ownership with predominantly Italian capital, and a shared vision focused on growth, quality, and the continuity of the values that make the brand unique.

In the context of the transaction, the sellers were assisted for legal matters by the law firm Poggi & Associati.
