The French brand Nanni, one of the leading manufacturers of marine engines and generators, has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Progener, the new official distributor of Nanni generators in Spain, Portugal, Cuba, and Angola.
The agreement marks an important step in the company’s international expansion, strengthening its presence in the Western Mediterranean and Atlantic markets and confirming the brand’s commitment to ensuring proximity, expertise, and high-quality service for its customers.
Founded 22 years ago, Progener has become a benchmark in the field of propulsion and power generation for the professional maritime industry.
The company boasts more than 200,000 kW installed worldwide, with projects ranging from unmanned marine vehicles to 10,000 kW tugs and 1,800 kW-powered ferries.
Although employing only about ten direct staff members, Progener is part of a group of 14 companies with a total of 650 employees and a combined turnover of €100 million.
This structure combines operational agility with industrial solidity, making Progener an ideal partner for the development of highly specialized commercial and technical networks.
Historically active in the commercial and military sectors, Progener has, in recent years, progressively diversified into the leisure and superyacht segments, which are experiencing strong growth.
Already established in Spain, Portugal, Cuba, and Angola, the company will make significant investments alongside Nanni, including the construction of a dedicated generator warehouse, the opening of a new showroom, and participation in Navalia 2026 in Vigo — a key international event for the maritime industry in Southern Europe and Latin America.
Thanks to the agreement with Progener, Nanni will benefit from a sales and service network comprising 20 contact points across the four countries.
Progener’s technicians are already trained and certified by Nanni, ready to provide local technical support and qualified after-sales service in full compliance with the brand’s standards.
“The collaboration with Progener means consolidating our presence at the heart of Iberian shipyards, with a reliable, dynamic partner fully aligned with our values of quality and service,” commented Vladimir, Export Sales Representative at Nanni.
The partnership aims to sustainably develop the presence of Nanni generators in new markets, maintaining the trust of shipyards and supporting them in the search for increasingly efficient and low-impact solutions.
“For Progener, this is a strategic agreement,” said Alfonso, Managing Director of Progener. “It allows us to offer our customers a complete range of Nanni-branded generators — a brand internationally recognized for robustness and technological innovation.”
The partnership between Nanni and Progener goes beyond commercial distribution: it represents a long-term industrial collaboration model based on complementary expertise and a shared vision for growth in the marine energy sector.
For Nanni, the agreement strengthens an increasingly extensive European network; for Progener, it marks a qualitative leap into an international market in full evolution.
