The Tankoa 55m Sportiva M/Y Loewe, designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture in collaboration with Tankoa Yachts, received the Outstanding Exterior Design award in the 50-69.9m category at the 2026 Design & Innovation Awards, organised by Boat International. The award ceremony took place on 1 February 2026 in Kitzbühel, Austria.
The jury recognised the vessel's distinctive features, including her sporty profile, sculpted volumes, and an aesthetic language that combines elegance, performance, and functionality. The unit remains below the 500 GT threshold while offering spaces and comfort comparable to larger yachts.
The bow design features assertive lines that give the yacht a recognisable identity. A distinctive element is the open area positioned forward of the wheelhouse, conceived as a social space that strengthens the relationship between yacht and seascape.
The owner's suite, located forward, has direct access to a private owner's sundeck, a solution that provides a level of privacy uncommon in this tonnage category.
"This recognition rewards a design approach focused on character, proportion, and innovation," stated Luca Dini, Founder and CEO of Luca Dini Design & Architecture. "M/Y Loewe represents our vision of contemporary sportiness: a yacht with a strong presence, yet refined and timeless. This achievement results from close collaboration with Tankoa Yachts".
Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa Yachts, commented: "This award represents satisfaction for the entire Tankoa team. M/Y Loewe expresses our commitment to innovation, quality, and bespoke design. Collaboration with Luca Dini Design & Architecture allowed us to create a distinctive and functional vessel, setting a new benchmark in this size segment".
The Design & Innovation Awards by Boat International constitute one of the most significant recognitions in the yachting sector, intended for projects that distinguish themselves through design, naval architecture, and technological innovation.
