The first hull of the Itama 70 was launched on 21 May at Ferretti Group's new production facility in Marina di Ravenna. The model is the second in the renewal programme for the Itama range.
The boat measures 21.23 metres overall with a beam of 5.30 metres. The project is the result of a collaboration between the Ferretti Group Strategic Product Committee and the Group's Engineering Department. Exterior design is by Vallicelli Design, interiors by IdeaeItalia.
The hull features lateral glazed panels running through the topsides, visually lengthening the profile. Forward, a large sunpad is integrated into the deck.
The main deck is organised from the stern, where a movable bathing platform can accommodate and launch a tender up to 3.25 metres. The aft sunpad connects to the dining area through an integrated backrest. The U-shaped dining area includes a teak-topped table positioned in front of the wet bar unit. The area is shaded by an electric bimini top with integrated lighting. The wet bar converts into a chaise longue with the addition of a cushion.
The helm station is located on the port side with seating for two. On this first unit, the console integrates two 16-inch touchscreen chartplotters. Access to the bow is through a central walkway at the windscreen, while the entrance to the lower deck is positioned at the far starboard side.
The lower deck accommodates three cabins, all with en suite bathrooms, with the master aft, plus a corner galley and dinette.
The first unit is fitted with an optional engine package consisting of twin MAN V12 engines rated at 1,550 mhp, delivering a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 35 knots (preliminary data). Stabilisation is provided by a Seakeeper NG14 gyroscope.
