Tankoa Yachts celebrated the coin ceremony for Project Dream on June 4th at its Civitavecchia facility, marking a new milestone for the 61-metre full-custom superyacht, one of the most significant projects currently under construction at the Genoa-based shipyard. The ceremony follows the keel laying and officially marks the progress of the yacht’s construction phase.

Sold in the summer of 2025 and scheduled for delivery in early 2029, Project Dream is the result of a collaboration between Horacio Bozzo Design, responsible for the concept, general layout and exterior styling, and Axis Group Yacht Design, in charge of naval architecture and basic engineering. The project also marks Tankoa’s first collaboration with Horacio Bozzo Design, while the interiors have been entrusted to Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the studio selected directly by the owner.

With an overall length of 61 metres, Project Dream enters the 60-to-70-metre segment with the aim of offering the volumes, comfort and visual presence typically associated with larger yachts, while maintaining the operational versatility and manageability of a 60-metre platform.

According to the shipyard, the yacht has been developed with particular attention to onboard space optimisation and continuity between interior and exterior areas, with a layout designed to enhance outdoor living and a direct connection with the sea. The beach area plays a central role in the yacht’s architecture. The aft section opens on three sides thanks to fold-down platforms and connects directly to the wellness area, which includes a gym, sauna and dedicated massage and treatment spaces.

The layout places the owner’s suite on the upper deck, featuring a private forward terrace and dedicated swimming pool, while guest cabins are located on the main deck. Social life onboard revolves primarily around the large sun deck, conceived as the yacht’s main gathering area and enhanced by a second swimming pool. A third pool is positioned aft on the bridge deck, where an open-air cinema lounge has also been created for evening entertainment under the stars.

Tankoa also underlined how the fully custom nature of the yacht reflects the shipyard’s “boutique” philosophy, with every project developed around the owner’s specific requirements. In this case, the yacht was developed in close collaboration with the Tankoa Style Centre to create a refined, coherent and entirely bespoke environment.

With the coin ceremony, Project Dream reaches another important milestone in its construction journey, while work continues according to schedule towards the superyacht’s launch in the coming years.
