ANCONA – The luxury yachting world continues to move increasingly toward a cross-disciplinary integration of technology, interior design and onboard experience. It is within this context that the collaboration announced by Videoworks — a company specialized in AV/IT systems and automation for yachts — takes shape, bringing Bang & Olufsen systems onboard selected Custom Line models of the Ferretti Group.

According to the company, the project aims to integrate the Bang & Olufsen sound experience into the yachts’ technological ecosystems while maintaining full aesthetic coherence with the interiors developed by the shipyard’s designers. Rather than a simple audio-video installation, the project represents a complete integration effort developed by Videoworks in its role as a certified partner of the Danish brand.

The initiative specifically involves two models from the Custom Line range: the Custom Line 50 and the Custom Line Navetta 38. The first is the brand’s 50-metre full-aluminium superyacht, developed across four decks and featuring, among other elements, an owner’s suite positioned forward on the upper deck and a 120-square-metre beach club with an infinity pool integrated into the main deck. The second is a 38.76-metre custom-made displacement yacht with a gross tonnage of 299 GT, designed to combine cruising comfort, design and customization.

In the case of the Custom Line 50, the owner requested a specific customization of the AV/IT system within the upper deck saloon, with an intervention developed to enhance both acoustic performance and the atmosphere of one of the yacht’s main social areas. According to Videoworks, this approach reflects the growing demand for integrated multi-room systems capable of adapting to increasingly complex and customized layouts.

The installations include a Beosound Theatre soundbar and a Beolab 19 subwoofer onboard the Custom Line Navetta 38, while the Custom Line 50 features Beolab 28 loudspeakers and a 77-inch Beovision Harmony television. Each component was selected not only for its acoustic performance, but also for its ability to integrate architecturally into the yacht’s living spaces.

One of the most interesting aspects of the project concerns the aesthetic customization of the Bang & Olufsen products, developed together with the architects and interior designers of the Ferretti Group. Finishes, materials and color configurations were adapted to match the interior palettes, ensuring stylistic continuity between technology and design. This approach confirms how, in the large yacht segment, onboard electronics are no longer considered purely functional elements, but an integral part of the yacht’s design identity. Videoworks also emphasizes that the objective goes beyond sound quality alone, aiming instead to create a fully immersive experience through Bang & Olufsen’s advanced streaming capabilities and connectivity. The concept is to make technology increasingly discreet and seamlessly integrated into onboard life, without altering the balance of spaces conceived by the designers.
