Bering Yachts has announced that Maltese businessman Dmitry Vasiliev has joined the company’s shareholding structure as a shareholder and partner. According to the shipyard, the move will strengthen both its financial position and its industrial organisation, at a time when the brand continues to expand its presence in the explorer yacht and superyacht sectors. Holding a PhD in Technical Sciences, an engineering background and an Executive MBA from the University of Antwerp Management School, Vasiliev previously founded and chaired the board of a builder of high-performance composite motor yachts and brings more than 30 years of senior executive and partner-level experience in leading technology companies.

In his new role, Vasiliev will be responsible for optimising Bering Yachts’ production and business processes, with the objective of improving operational reliability, raising manufacturing quality standards and further strengthening the company’s position in the explorer yacht market. His investment will also contribute to reinforcing the shipyard’s financial stability. In parallel, he will oversee strategic collaborations within the Superyacht Division, with particular emphasis on projects exceeding 50 metres in length. Bering Yachts has also announced that it expects to unveil its first major partnership in this segment in the near future.
