Luca Brancaleon’s experience, first gained within some of the recreational boating industry’s major groups and later in distribution, is one of the key factors behind his appointment at Aschenez Group, where he takes on the role of General Manager, Sales and Marketing. The appointment comes as the group works to consolidate the international presence of its brands, develop its sales network and introduce new product initiatives.
Brancaleon has worked in the industry since 2004, when he joined Sessa Marine. He subsequently spent almost ten years with Brunswick Group, working on the development of Hatteras Yachts, Cabo Yachts, Boston Whaler and Sea Ray, before moving to France. There, he first served as General Manager of the Beneteau brand and later as Deputy General Manager at Groupe Beneteau, with responsibilities covering brand strategy, financing, boat clubs, charter and marinas. Since 2022, he has overseen the development of a distribution group operating through several agencies and service yards, representing Beneteau, Wellcraft, Highfield and Galeon Yachts, as well as serving as the official distributor for Azimut Yachts in the French market.
The transition from the industrial side of the business to marine retail is one of the key aspects of his new role. Over the past three years, Brancaleon has worked within a multi-brand organisation with 14 sales outlets, gaining experience more directly connected with the requirements of the dealer network and end customers. At Aschenez Group, this expertise will be used to further align product strategy, distribution and market requirements, supporting the development of Invictus Yacht, Capoforte Boats and Marcopolo Adventure Yachts, as well as the group’s future projects.
“I am also joining after three years spent in distribution, an experience that has allowed me to develop a new perspective on the market, even closer to the needs of the network and the end customer. I believe this is the right environment in which to turn that experience into new growth opportunities,” Brancaleon explains. Rosario Alcaro, General Manager of Aschenez Group, meanwhile identifies the objective as maintaining the group’s quality policy while pursuing gradual growth, with the new manager expected to contribute to strengthening the company’s organisational structure ahead of its next phase of development.
The appointment comes just a few months after the completion of the group’s ownership structure. In April 2026, Aschenez Holding announced the acquisition of the remaining 40% of Aschenez Srl, which has been wholly owned by the holding company since March of the same year. Production is based at the two shipyards in Borgia, Calabria, and Villafranca Tirrena, near Messina, which together cover approximately 20,000 square metres and employ 200 people. The portfolio comprises 13 Invictus Yacht models from 28 to 55 feet, 12 Capoforte models from 19 to 28 feet and three Marcopolo models measuring 10, 12 and, in the near future, 15 metres. International distribution is supported by a network of more than 50 dealers.
Alongside his professional activities, Brancaleon has also begun a DBA (Doctorate in Business Administration), with research focused on the marina ecosystem and related services.
