Ultimate Catamarans is presenting the Q140 on stand QJ17 at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, held at Port Hercule from 23 to 26 September. The 42-metre catamaran superyacht has exterior and interior design by Antonio Luxardo. Works by the Italian contemporary artist Marcapiano have been selected for the interiors, among them the sculpture "Vita" in the main saloon. With a beam of 15.50 metres and four decks, the Q140 is part of the Q-Line, the builder's range of aluminium superyacht catamarans from 32 to 62 metres.

According to Ultimate Catamarans, the Q-Line is built on the idea that the yacht is created around the owner rather than the other way round. Each Q140 is developed for its owner, from the general arrangement to the interior details, and the yard describes the model as a "floating residence". Layouts, furniture, materials, colours, fabrics and leathers can be specified to the owner's preferences. Luxardo is responsible for the exterior and interior design of the whole Q-Line and has experience in full-custom projects above 40 metres. On the Q140 his design uses expansive glazing and a close relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Marcapiano is a sculptor, painter and engraver. He creates unique works and total-custom art projects for yachts, private villas and architectural settings, in direct dialogue with yacht designers, interior designers and architects, and has worked with the yachting sector before. His works follow the artistic language he created, "Animated Figurative Abstract ©". "Vita" has a fluid, ascending form that reveals different perceptions as the light and the viewing angle change. It stands in the Q140's main saloon, which measures 86 square metres and overlooks the sea.

"True luxury today means being able to own something that exists for no one else. An artwork should not simply be placed aboard a yacht: it should enter into dialogue with its architecture, its light, the sea and, above all, the person who will live with it. This is the philosophy behind Marcapiano's unique and fully bespoke works for luxury projects," said Erica Broilo, art director of Marcapiano.
