Squeezing into a crowded marina, adjusting to conditions that shift through the day, or simply spending a relaxed day on the water: these are the situations Nanni points to in presenting Nova, short for Nanni Onboard Vessel Assistant. In the company's view, engine control in those moments is also about how confident and at ease the person at the helm feels.

Launched in September 2026, the package combines a new control lever, a joystick and a digital dashboard. Nanni's stated aim is to make engine control simpler and more intuitive for owners, with the engine and its controls designed to work together from the outset.

According to Nanni, the lever gives a smoother response and faster reaction times. The joystick allows one-handed docking and can be paired with two ZF options: iAnchor, which holds the boat's position and heading, and iDrift, which controls drift speed and direction. The SI-5 digital dashboard displays the essential engine information.

The lever and joystick were developed with ZF, an international specialist in marine control and propulsion systems.

Buyers of a new Nanni engine can have a Nova configuration defined around the requirements of their boat. After consultation with Nanni's technical team, it is built into the installation. Nanni says this spares owners from working through a complex range of technical options on their own.

Current owners are included too, as many existing Nanni engines can be upgraded. Local Nanni dealers can confirm whether an engine is compatible and advise on the right solution.

The package will become part of Nanni's Complete Marine Power Solutions offering.
