QS-Seamaster takes its thrusters to two US shows
QS-Seamaster is heading to two US events with its bow and stern thrusters: the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the New Orleans Workboat Show. The Italian brand belongs to Saim Marine, the marine division of the Saim group, which also works in the industrial and engineering sectors. It will exhibit alongside Engineered Yacht Solutions (EYS), its exclusive distributor in the United States.
The range on show covers thrusters with DC, brushless DC-AC, three-phase AC and hydraulic motors. Thrust runs from 30 to 1,400 kgf, with analogue or digital control. According to the company, every model can be specified as proportional, including the smallest ones. The units are also designed to replace other manufacturers’ thrusters easily, which makes them relevant to refit work.
EYS is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is expanding its operations along the East Coast. It works on superyachts and commercial vessels, covering custom metalwork, class-regulated marine welding, precision fabrication, engineering, machining and marine plumbing. It also handles complex refits and structural hull modifications. The company recently added the sale, installation and servicing of thrusters, stabilisers and integrated marine systems.
