E1 Team Miami, powered by MAGNUS, is proud to announce Timmy Hansen and Patricia Pita Gago as its pilots for the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship. The pair form a highly experienced and exciting line-up as the team prepares to make waves in Season 3 of the world’s first all-electric powerboat series.

Patricia Pita Gago steps into a full-time race seat following her role as reserve pilot with Team Miami during the 2025 season. The Uruguayan made a strong impression when she competed at the team’s flagship event in Miami, demonstrating both speed and composure in front of the home crowd as the team took fourth place at the season finale.

The 37-year-old from Punta del Este made history as Uruguay’s first female rally driver, following in the footsteps of her father Jorge. Pita Gago began her rally career in 2012 at the Rally del Atlántico, and in 2023 reached a career milestone by becoming the first Uruguayan woman to successfully compete in the legendary Dakar Rally.

Joining her is Timmy Hansen, one of the most accomplished pilots in the E1 paddock. Hansen competed in the first two seasons with Team Brazil, where the Swede established himself as a consistent front-runner - his technical feedback and adaptability earning him four podiums from ten races.

Beyond E1, 33-year-old Hansen brings an exceptional motorsport pedigree. The 2019 FIA World Rallycross Champion has spent more than a decade competing at the highest level of motorsport, earning victories across multiple disciplines including Nitrocross, Extreme E and now E1 - having taken a win at the inaugural Lagos GP last season.

Patricia Pita Gago, E1 Team Miami, powered by MAGNUS, pilot, said: “I’m very proud to be confirmed as a pilot for Team Miami this season. This is a dream come true for me, so I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited for what’s ahead. This season is all about pushing limits, growing as a pilot and as a team, and giving everything on and off the water. So, we are going all in this year - let’s go Team Miami!”

Timmy Hansen, E1 Team Miami, powered by MAGNUS, pilot, said: “I’m very excited to be joining Team Miami – it feels like the perfect place for me to be right now. It’s an extremely talented group of people within the team and they have super high ambitions. They want to win races, they want to win the championship, and so do I - that’s the point of racing! We have worked hard, we have prepared well, and hopefully by the end of the year we’ll be there at the front fighting for the trophy."

Alex Malavenda, Co-Founder of E1 Team Miami, powered by MAGNUS, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Timmy to Team Miami and to see Patricia step into a full-time racing role. Timmy’s achievements in E1 and across world motorsport speak for themselves, while Patricia has earned this opportunity through her performance, commitment, and growth within the team. Together, they represent exactly what we stand for as we head into the 2026 season.”

Hansen and Pita Gago reflect a balanced and forward-looking pilot line-up that combines championship-level experience with rising talent and continuity within the team.

With preparations already underway, E1 Team Miami, powered by MAGNUS, enters its third E1 season with heightened confidence, ambition, and a clear focus on competing at the front of the field, starting with the E1 Jeddah GP in Saudi Arabia next week (23-24 January).
