The awards ceremony of the 40th Copa del Rey MAPFRE was presided over by HM Felipe VI. The King of Spain presented the awards to the winners of the nine classes competing for this historical 4th edition.

The champions of the 40 Copa del Rey MAPFRE are the Germans Hatari in ClubSwan 50, Red Bandit in BMW ORC 1 and Meerblick Fun in BMW ORC 4; the Italians Scugnizza in BMW ORC 3 and G Spot in ClubSwan 36; and the Spaniards Nadir in ClubSwan 42, Teatro Soho Caixabank in BMW ORC 2, Balearia in Mallorca Sotheby's Women's Cup and Alcaidesa Marina in Herbalife J70.

The MAPFRE Special Trophy for the best boat in corrected time went o Teatro Soho Caixabank -BMW ORC 2-, while the best one design was Balearia -Mallorca Sotheby's Women's Cup-.
