Regattas and Records 2025

Between July and October, Fraglia Vela Malcesine hosted an impressive lineup of international sailing events, including three World Championships (Moh class, Contender class, 2.4mR open & paralympic class), one Global Championship, and a packed calendar with our traditional appointments, as the ILCA Easter Meeting Regatta, Trofeo Simone Lombardi, Ferruccio Day, 42nd Alpenpokal H-Boat, International Finn Cup Trofeo Menoni and the T293 Zonal Regatta.

Throughout the season, 20 regattas took place over a total of 93 competition days, welcoming 2,485 athletes and hosting up to 30,696 visitors at our Club.

All these amazing moments were captured in 33,479 photographs and 116 Reels published and shared on Instagram.

Our Athletes on the International Stage

With four competitive teams and a total of 55 athletes, Fraglia Vela Malcesine proudly carried its colours across Italy and Europe throughout the 2025 season. Together, our teams travelled more than 80,000 kilometres with their vans, taking part in regattas and training events that showcased dedication, talent, and resilience.

The season counted 37 trips in total: 13 trips for the Optimist team, 8 for ILCA, 10 for iQFOiL, and 6 for Techno 293 — a remarkable journey that reflects both the scale of our activity and the passion driving every athlete on and off the water.

A hub for training and international teams

Throughout the year, Fraglia Vela Malcesine welcomed athletes from across the globe, representing 34 nations who chose our Club as their training base on Lake Garda.

Each team spent an average of 15 days refining their performance on the water, enjoying the club's facilities and the lake’s unique sailing conditions.

In total, the Club recorded 1372 training presences, confirming its role as a reference point for both Italian and international sailors preparing for major events.

From youth courses to adult programs

The 2025 season saw our Sailing and Windsurfing Schools in full motion, introducing 131 children and youth to the world of sailing and windsurf. 171 sailing courses held over 12 weeks and totalling 225 hours on the water.

Our Windsurf programs continued to grow, with 124 courses spread across the season and 200 training hours that strengthened skills and passion among kids and young sailors.

The Adult and Private Sailing School also recorded strong participation, welcoming 597 students to tailored experiences — from private lessons and sailings with skippers, to team-building sessions and professional coaching for both sailors and windsurfers, adding up to 985 total hours of activity on the lake.

Training on and off the Water for a complete experience

The FVM Water Centre continued to grow as a hub for on-the-water experiences, recording 418 hours of activity and 203 rentals across dinghies, windsurf boards, SUPs, and kayaks.

Onshore, the FVM Gym remained a point of reference for athletes and members alike, welcoming 12.270 visits over 296 days of activity

Preparations for the 2026 season are already underway, promising another year of excellence, competition, and inspiring stories.
