Imposing a significant gap on their opponents, Clément Cron's Groupe Atlantic won the Grand Prix 3 of the 69F Cup 2024, an event organized by the Acquafresca Sports Center with the support of the 69F Class.
As many as ten crews battled it out over the weekend, completing sixteen races and delivering a great sailing show, with the French team making it clear from the opening stages that they had the tactical vision and pace needed to dominate the fleet.
Actually, as many as twenty-five points separated the leading team from its main pursuer, Alexander de Weck's Katana Sailing, winner of the Fairplay Trophy due to the absence of penalty. Third place, just two points far away from the second, went to Paul Hameeteman's Jajo Team Dutchsail while Allan Norreggard's FIN1 Racing and Zachary Blomely's Oceana Vivo completed the top five.
The results achieved on the Acquafresca race course have been included in the general ranking of the 69F Cup 2024, which is now led by Groupe Atlantic with a two-point margin over Katana Sailing and three over FIN1 Racing.
For the 69F Class now comes the time to enjoy some summer rest: the resumption of sailing activities is scheduled for the Grand Prix 4 of the 69F Cup 2024, an event valid as EUROSAF 69F European Championship, to be held in Malcesine between 17 and 22 of September.
