Absolute will be an important protagonist at this year’s Salone Nautico Internazionale in Genoa, where the company, based in Podenzano (Piacenza, Italy), will exhibit the exciting new Navetta 53, in addition to the 60 Fly and the Navetta 64, at the show running from 19 to 24 September.
The Navetta 53, the Absolute Momentum, is spectacular in its concept and innovation, a remarkable leap forward in design, space and comfort, offering the liveability of far larger vessels. It shares the qualities that have become hallmarking features of all Absolute’s yachts, such as the huge windows that provide superb views over the sea, the attractive open gunwales, and the superb interior design featuring a colour palette ranging from cream to
hazelnut. Life on board is facilitated by the carefully-designed layout with a minimum of steps, ample headroom, and sliding doors to save space. Another Absolute hallmark is the cockpit terrace, and the Navetta 53 is the brand’s first yacht under the length of 70 feet to include this feature, offering an area that is seamlessly connected to the main salon with its kitchen, and the bathing platform astern.
The flybridge provides wonderful views over the marine environment, while its helm position enables the owner to enjoy the company of guests even when conducting the yacht. Absolute’s unsurpassed attention to comfort can be seen from design features such as the covered walkways running from bow to stern, and the beautifully-appointed accommodations, with generously-sized beds, storage spaces, windows, air-conditioning and natural ventilation. The two Volvo Penta IPS650 engines and the gyroscopic stabilizer guarantee comfort even in more robust sea conditions.
The 60 Fly’s keyword, Absolute Prisma, highlights the fine views offered by the glazed parapets on the cockpit terrace and the flybridge. The cockpit terrace’s flexibility is enhanced by the furnishings that can be arranged according to requirements, and its two lateral staircases provide easy access to the large swim platform. The flybridge is of course a highlight of the 60 Fly, and it is a generous, multi-functional space, perfect for socializing, enjoying a cocktail, sunbathing, and commanding the yacht from the high-tech helm station. The bow area is equally versatile, with sunbeds accompanied by settees and table. The fullbeam owner’s suite has its own raised deck level, which provides extra space, larger windows, and an exceptionally roomy stowage space below.
Absolute’s constant attention to user comfort can also be seen in the solar panels on the hardtop above the flybridge, enabling essential services such as lighting and fridge to operate even while at anchor with the engines silenced. The vast area of glazing around the salon ensures exceptional visibility both for the guests and the captain at the main helm position. Accommodation below comprises a spacious owner suite in the bows, a VIP suite to starboard, and a comfortable twin on the port side.
Navetta 64 – the Absolute Pathfinder – is a fine expression of the Absolute design style, with the uninterrupted glazing of the salon, the exceptionally large bow windows corresponding to the owner cabin, and the open gunwales on the cockpit terrace, forming an elegant, dynamic motif. These design features help bring the guests on board into close connection with the marine environment. Another innovative concept can be found in the Beach Club, a lounge cabin, also usable as a double-berth cabin, with a generously-sized sofa looking onto the stern platform, giving guests a superb view of the sea, similar to that of an infinity pool. The flybridge, far wider than that of other yachts in its category, offers an all-day setting, with helm station, a dining area and galley, and a relaxation zone astern. The
cockpit terrace includes another typically Absolute design touch: a hidden tube for stowing the boat hook, incorporated into the port window structure, ensuring that this simple but very important piece of equipment is immediately on hand for use during mooring.
There is no better way to experience the remarkable quality of Absolute’s yachts than stepping aboard and witnessing the superb detailing and finish first-hand. The Salone Nautico, open from Thursday 19 to Tuesday 24 September from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., and located at Piazzale John Fitzgerald Kennedy 1, 16129 Genova, offers the perfect opportunity.
