Journey and performance highlights
The Bering 92 Papillon began her journey at the end of 2022 by starring in the first season of the Bering Life project, cruising through the Mediterranean (Greece, Türkiye). She easily handled even the roughest storms, showcasing her robust design and seaworthiness.
Following her Mediterranean adventure, Papillon was transported to the Bahamas, where she successfully completed several charter trips, delighting guests with her luxury and performance.
The yacht gained significant attention at multiple boat shows in the United States, including FLIBS, Miami, and Palm Beach, where she captivated journalists and potential buyers alike.
One of the most remarkable expeditions was a whale-watching project at Silver Bank in the Dominican Republic, further proving Papillon's versatility and capability in diverse marine environments. It was an exciting scientific expedition to research endangered humpback whales. Partnering with Yachts for Science, an organization connecting yachts with researchers and marine scientists, B92 Papillon journeyed to Silver Bank, a crucial breeding ground for the North Atlantic humpback whale population. Approximately 3,000 whales migrate there annually to mate, give birth, and nurse calves, with the site protected by the Dominican Republic and limited to only 500 visitors per year. Papillon hosted 13 scientists, filmmakers, and Bering employees during this government-sanctioned expedition, offering Bering-style hospitality. Despite challenging weather, all objectives were achieved, thanks to the stability and robustness of the B92, a heavy full-displacement boat that ensured a steady platform even in rough conditions.
Bering 92 Papillon also ventured to Jamaica, demonstrating her ability to anchor for extended periods in regions lacking well-equipped marinas for large yachts. Like all Bering yachts, her technical capabilities were exceptional.
Most recently, Papillon completed a transatlantic crossing under her power. The journey, which passed through the Bermudas, the Azores, and Gibraltar, took just over three weeks and was completed without any technical issues.
The Bering 92 Papillon is currently docked in Alicante, Spain, and is ready for its next owner.
