Bering Yachts Signs First Contract for Flagship Bering 165

19/01/2026 - 14:32 in Superyacht by Bering Yachts

Bering Yachts is pleased to confirm that the first hull of the Bering 165 — the flagship of the company’s newly created Superyacht division — has been sold.

The contract was concluded with Aberton Yachts acting as the buyer’s broker. This stands as powerful market recognition for one of the most widely discussed explorer superyacht concepts of the year.

A New Benchmark in the 50-Metre Explorer Class

Measuring 50 meters in length with a 9-metre beam and 499 gross tonnes, the Bering 165 is purpose-designed to redefine the possibilities of a true transoceanic superyacht. She marries the proven long-range, sea-keeping qualities of Bering’s steel explorer heritage with genuine superyacht volume, refinement and lifestyle versatility.

The yacht was developed in close cooperation with Swiss studio Valentin Design (exterior styling) and Aberton Yachts (general arrangement). The result is a sophisticated five-deck layout that feels considerably more spacious than the length would suggest, while preserving full ocean-crossing capability.

Technical Performance & Practical AutonomyTwin Caterpillar 1,300 hp main engines provide a comfortable 10-knot cruise and a top speed of 15 knots. A generous 65,000-litre fuel capacity delivers a range well in excess of 5,000 nautical miles at economical speed — sufficient to cross any ocean without refuelling.

A disciplined naval architecture approach was key to shaping the Bering 165 as a capable, efficient explorer yacht, engineered for true ocean-crossing within the sub-500 GT class by Eureka Yachts

“Elegant design lines supported by solid shipyard build quality — this balance is what gives the Bering 165 her true ocean-going character.”

Intelligent & Flexible LayoutGeneral arrangement, created in collaboration with Aberton Yachts, is among the most intelligent and adaptable to be found in the 50-metre segment today.

The owner’s deck forms a private place, comprising a full-beam master suite with a large en-suite and walk-in wardrobe, a separate lounge, private pantry, dumbwaiter service, and a secluded aft terrace complete with sunbeds, Jacuzzi, sofa and coffee table.

The bridge deck seamlessly blends navigation with social areas: an indoor-outdoor lounge with sit-up bar, day head and open-air cinema complete with firepit. A private crow’s nest lookout on the hardtop provides a secluded 360° viewing point — ideal for stargazing or simply enjoying the horizon in peace.

Design Philosophy – Form Follows FreedomValentin Design’s exterior treatment is deliberately restrained yet elegant. Every space has been carefully proportioned to support real life on board: generous tender & toy garages, adaptability to different climates, substantial load-carrying capacity, and areas deliberately created for memorable moments with family, friends or guests.

The result is a harmonious balance between explorer toughness and superyacht sophistication — a yacht designed to invite long stays without ever feeling like a compromise.

“A genuine crossover explorer that delivers real added value to life on board”— Valentin Design team

“Over the course of the year, all three teams kept pushing the boundaries — setting increasingly ambitious goals, finding smart solutions, and constantly balancing everything until we arrived at what we believe is one of the strongest explorer yachts in the sub-500 GT class. We put every bit of our expertise into creating a layout that is thoughtful, comfortable and logical for both guests and crew. The result is a highly competitive yacht packed with standout, unique solutions. We’re sincerely convinced that the Bering 165 will be a big success very soon.”

Market Confidence & Strong Future OutlookThe sale of hull No.1 confirms what the industry has already started to sense: the Bering 165 has struck a chord with experienced owners who seek genuine autonomy, generous volume and contemporary design. Discussions for further hulls are already in progress.

As the appetite for meaningful, mobile lifestyles continues to grow, the B165 positions Bering Yachts firmly at the forefront of the next wave of explorer superyachts — vessels built not merely to impress, but to travel far, stay long and feel like home anywhere on Earth.
