Renier Shipyards has officially unveiled the new R11 Tourer, the latest addition to its premium RIB range, during the inauguration of the company’s new manufacturing facility in Carini, near Palermo. The new model introduces a series of innovations aimed at enhancing performance, onboard comfort and space optimization, while further strengthening the design philosophy that has made the Sicilian shipyard a recognized name in the international boating market. One of the most significant developments is the introduction of a new hull platform, engineered to serve both the R11 Tourer and the future R12 model. The shared design is intended to improve hydrodynamic efficiency, ride comfort and production optimization while maintaining the distinctive seaworthiness characteristics associated with the Renier brand.

“The new hull has been developed to perform efficiently on both the R11 and the future R12,” said Luigi Renier, founder and CEO of the company. “This approach allows us to optimize the development process while ensuring excellent navigation performance across different models.”

The most innovative feature of the new R11 Tourer can be found in the cockpit layout. The model introduces a large aft social area designed to comfortably accommodate up to eight guests around a spacious dining configuration. At the center of the arrangement is a fully retractable electric table system concealed beneath the deck floor. Unlike conventional solutions, the table disappears completely when not in use, leaving the deck surface perfectly flush and unobstructed.

“We wanted to create a layout capable of transforming the space according to the owner’s needs,” Renier explained. “When the table is no longer required, it can be fully hidden beneath the cockpit floor, creating a clean and open deck area.” The R11 Tourer preserves the open-air spirit that characterizes the Renier range while offering generous interior accommodations. The cabin can be configured either with a double berth or an interior dinette and may also incorporate a concealed bathroom compartment, providing increased versatility for day cruising and longer excursions.

With an overall length of 11 meters, a beam of 4 meters, and a certified capacity of 18 passengers, the new model positions itself in the upper segment of the luxury RIB market. Maximum installed power reaches 1,000 horsepower, supported by a 760-liter fuel tank and a 260-liter freshwater tank. Standard equipment includes extensive teak decking, the retractable electric table system, integrated stern storage compartments, a servo-assisted retractable sunshade, an 85-liter refrigerator and multiple storage solutions designed to maximize onboard usability.

The shipyard has also invested heavily in the vessel’s technological package. The showcased configuration features dual 12-inch Garmin multifunction displays fully integrated with the propulsion system, providing real-time engine data and navigation information through a unified interface.

The first R11 Tourer built by the yard has been finished in a striking full-anthracite color scheme and powered by twin Mercury 425 hp outboards. The propulsion package is complemented by the Mercury Joystick Piloting system, which includes advanced docking assistance, autopilot functions and GPS-based position holding technology, often referred to as an electronic anchor.

The unveiling of the new model coincides with an important milestone for Renier Shipyards, which has consolidated its design, engineering and manufacturing operations within the newly inaugurated facility in Carini. The investment reflects the company’s growth trajectory and its ambition to further expand its presence in international markets.
