HanseYachts AG is delighted to announce the Unimat Group as its new exclusive distribution partner for the Japanese market. With this cooperation, HanseYachts strengthens its presence in Asia and sets the course for sustainable growth in a region with significant potential for sailing and motor yachts.

The Unimat Group is one of Japan’s leading lifestyle and service corporations, with a diversified portfolio spanning marine, hospitality, golf, elderly care, real estate, and leisure businesses. Within the marine sector, Unimat operates the largest marina network in Japan and provides customers with comprehensive services including boat sales, storage, maintenance, marine equipment, restaurants, and leisure facilities.

Unimat entered the marina business in 2006 with the opening of City Marina Velasis (342 berths). Since then, the group has steadily expanded its operations to seven marinas nationwide. In April 2024, Unimat began operating the Tokyo Yumenoshima Marina, which accommodates 660 vessels. With this addition, the company now manages a total of 2,020 berths, making it the largest marina network in the country.
