Kadey-Krogen Yachts, renowned for its unwavering commitment to building luxurious, ocean-crossing trawlers, is set to debut its largest build to date—the highly anticipated Krogen 60 Open—at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show.

Marking a significant milestone in the company’s 49-year legacy, the Krogen 60 Open redefines long-range cruising with a seamless blend of efficiency, soft ride, craftsmanship, and customization. Built on Kadey-Krogen’s proprietary Pure Full Displacement Hull, this new model upholds the brand’s core philosophy of comfort, and seaworthiness, delivering a bluewater trawler that is truly built for the journey.

With semi-customizable interiors, each Krogen 60 Open is designed to reflect the individual preferences of its owner, while maintaining the builder’s signature attention to detail—hallmarks of a Krogen yacht. Owners will enjoy expansive living spaces, premium materials, and an uncompromising level of craftsmanship that sets the brand apart in the under-70-foot market.

“We are incredibly proud to introduce the Krogen 60 Open,” said Tucker West, President of The Kadey-Krogen Group. “This yacht embodies everything we stand for—unmatched comfort at sea, timeless design, and the ability to cross oceans with ease. It represents the next evolution for our brand and our customers.”

This new 60 Open builds off the success of the 50 Open and features the same open living concept on the main deck first shown on the 50 which seamlessly joins the salon and galley area with the pilothouse. Hull No. 1 will be shown at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and subsequent hulls are under construction.

Belowdecks, a full-beam master and ensuite placed amidships take advantage of the 60 Open’s 19-foot, 6-inch beam. Additional highlights include twin John Deere 200-hp 4045 diesels, a transoceanic range, yet island friendly draft of less than 6-feet, and several interior layout options including a three-stateroom, three-head layout that also includes a convertible office area. Provisions for crew accommodations are also offered abaft the engine room.

“The 60 Open represents the evolution of the Open Series and is yet another example of the advantages of having our own in-house design and engineering team,” said West. “It’s based on our proven design and engineering practices yet incorporates our focus on constant product evolution and a quest for perfection.”

Boaters eager to experience the Krogen 60 Open firsthand can visit Kadey-Krogen Yachts at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, where the company will be showcasing its latest advancements in yacht design and engineering.
