The Italian Sea Group is pleased to announce that it has obtained AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification from the Customs Authorities. This designation attests to the reliability and security of the Company towards the market while also ensuring its financial solvency.
The achievement of this certification is the result of a process involving the Customs Agencies of Marina di Carrara, Pisa and La Spezia, at the end of which TISG has met important criteria such as:
• compliance and observance of customs and tax regulations;
• possession of an effective management system for commercial and transport-related records;
• the guarantee of financial solvency and high standards of professional skills and qualifications.
“The status of AEO operator represents an important milestone for TISG” - commented Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group – “It is a certification that confirms the high qualifications of our Group on an overall organizational level, including production, logistics and administration, allowing us access to simplified customs procedures, benefiting our daily operations. I thank the Customs Agencies of Marina di Carrara, Pisa and La Spezia for their important support in achieving this result".
AEO certification offers The Italian Sea Group, which operates internationally, numerous strategic advantages:
• easier access to customs simplifications;
• reduction of physical and documentary checks;
• priority notification and processing in case of selection for control;
• reduction/exemption of customs guarantees and the ability to request a specific location for customs control.
AEO operator status also allows for further improvement in relations with Customs Authorities, faster shipments, and increased international visibility from being listed in the European Union's AEO database.
