U-Boat Worx, the world leader in manned submersibles, has signed the first client contract for its groundbreaking Wet Lease model. It’s a fully managed, turnkey solution that enables commercial operators to offer unforgettable submarine dives without the need to own a submersible or build in-house operational capabilities.
The inaugural agreement has been signed for a one-year term with global coverage and includes a set number of dive days. The client will be leasing U-Boat Worx’s Cruise Sub 7, capable of taking seven guests into the depths of the ocean for extraordinary underwater experiences.
A new era of ocean access
Through the Wet Lease model, clients can select the lease duration (minimum three months) and number of dive days that suit their operations. U-Boat Worx provides turnkey delivery of the submarine, a dedicated crew (pilot and survey officer), comprehensive insurance coverage, full servicing and maintenance, operational planning and logistics, as well as compliance with local and international regulations, all included in the lease price.
Pricing for the wet lease from U-Boat Worx starts at €50,000 (approximately $60,000) per month on a multi-year contract. Shorter contracts or additional dive days are available at flexible rates, making the most cost-effective option a longer-term agreement.
Clients can choose between several models from U-Boat Worx’s fleet, including the Nemo, Super Yacht Sub, and Cruise Sub 7. This flexibility makes the Wet Lease model ideally suited for superyacht owners, cruise lines, luxury resorts, expedition operators, event organizers, and tourism providers seeking to add a world-class attraction without long-term ownership.
