Ahead of the 38th America's Cup, Pirelli – Official Sponsor and Technical Partner of Luna Rossa – is expanding its presence on the Italian team's yachts. In addition to the mainsail, where the Pirelli logo is already featured, the brand will now also appear on the foils and rudder of both the AC40 and AC75.
Pirelli has also provided a technological contribution to the AC75's appendages, sharing with Luna Rossa's development team its expertise in innovative materials to support the yacht's performance. This collaboration builds on Pirelli's extensive research in advanced materials, the same field that led to the development of solutions such as PNCS™ (Pirelli Noise Cancelling System), the technology designed to reduce rolling noise generated within the tyre's internal cavity.
Luna Rossa's new livery, featuring Pirelli branding on the foils and rudder, will make its debut in September on the AC40, the 40-foot foiling monohull used for training and preliminary regattas, and in November on the AC75, the yacht with which Luna Rossa will compete in the 38th America's Cup.
