Sanlorenzo notifies that it will not take over Perini Navi

Ameglia (SP), 22 December 2021 – Sanlorenzo S.p.A. notifies that it will not take over Perini Navi S.p.A. The third auction was held today, following the presentation on 26 October 2021 of an acquisition proposal through the NewCo Restart S.p.A.

While reaffirming the interest in the acquisition of Perini Navi and, most of all, firmly believing in the validity of the offer of Restart, the auction price exceeded the amount which was considered adequate, given the negative goodwill of the company, declared bankrupt by the Court of Lucca in January 2021, and in view of the significant investments needed to carry out an effective turnaround that would allow the restart of production and the relaunch of the company, the brand and, above all, the growth and continuity of employment for the workers of the two shipyards.
