Helly Hansen, the technical sailing brand with more than 140 years of heritage, is proud to announce that the Shorehike One.2 has won a GOOD DESIGN™ Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture and Urban Studies. The footwear design was recognized as a leading product of design excellence among thousands of designs and graphics nominated from over 47 countries worldwide.

Originally released in 2004, the Shorehike was lauded as a highly innovative sailing shoe that took watersports footwear in a new direction; it was years ahead of its time. Out of thousands of entries, the Shorehike One.2 shone as a professional grade product that resurrects the classic design, while built with improved technologies.

The Shorehike One.2 bridges Helly Hansen’s ‘Sailing Performance’ & ‘Pier/Lifestyle’ segments, featuring a unique slip - on upper where the ‘sock’ offers comfort, breathability, and quick drying materials, whilst the second layer cradles and supports the foot. The outsole is designed with a custom multi - directional grip system, in Helly Hansen’s own Storm Grip, non-marking, rubber compound. This mid-cut sailing sneaker is packed with clever performance attributes, but also offers style and comfort in abundance.
