Just days after announcing the sale of a 45-meter explorer yacht developed from the concept created with Giorgio M. Cassetta, Cantiere delle Marche has confirmed a second contract on the same design platform.
The new unit retains the core project framework but is configured as a distinct yacht, with technical features and layout solutions tailored to the new owner. The two contracts secured since the start of 2026 confirm market interest in this 45-meter explorer concept and in the Ancona yard’s approach: proven engineering platforms combined with a high degree of customization.
The new explorer yacht results from close cooperation between owner, designer and the yard’s technical team. While based on the same design language, the yacht introduces substantial changes compared to the previous unit, including revised exterior areas, a different interior layout and specific onboard technical solutions aligned with a defined cruising program and onboard lifestyle.
According to the yard, this is not a replica but the evolution of a platform that makes it possible to develop explorer yachts that differ from one another, while maintaining architectural consistency and the navigation characteristics typical of the type.
Giorgio M. Cassetta notes that the order for a second yacht derived from the same concept confirms the validity of the original design approach, while allowing for different developments based on owner requirements. “Each project is reworked according to new operational and layout needs,” the designer explains.
From the yard’s perspective, the second sale based on this platform confirms both the strength of the technical base and the effectiveness of its strategy: developing recognizable, engineering-driven concepts that can then be executed as fully custom yachts. The underlying philosophy remains the combination of proven models with a high level of build customization.
With this new contract, Cantiere delle Marche strengthens its position in the mid-to-large explorer yacht segment, where range, structural robustness and layout flexibility remain key selection criteria for owners.
