Milan hosts the first edition of Seaquip from March 4 to 6, the Mediterranean Yacht and Marine Equipment Trade Fair bringing together over 160 exhibitors from 13 countries. The event presents technological solutions for the marine and yachting sector.
CMC Marine presents the Energy Recovery System, developed in collaboration with its suppliers. The system, inspired by KERS technology used in Formula 1, recovers energy generated during the braking phase of stabilizer fins to reuse it during acceleration. The technology reduces power peaks required from generators and energy consumption by up to 30 percent, maintaining stabilization performance even at zero speed. Operation with a single generator running reduces noise, vibrations and emissions.
Euthalia Marine presents a high-impedance grounding filter for protection against direct and indirect lightning strikes. The company, with over 70 years of experience in electrical safety, has adapted its Antiimpact Technology for sailing and motor boats.
KIEPE Electric exhibits the marine fire protection system with DNV GL heat-sensitive cable, based on LISTEC technology with SEC15 cable. The system provides continuous temperature monitoring and precise fire location in critical environments such as engine rooms, technical spaces and marine storage areas. DNV GL and EN54-22 certification ensures compliance with international standards for passenger ships, commercial vessels, offshore platforms and yachts.
Iacomelli presents the electric full glass pantograph door in laminated glass on an aluminum frame. The system includes opening and closing controls with dead-man buttons, with options for remote controls via Bluetooth, facial recognition or digital recognition.
Mavimare & Mancini exhibits the power steering system for outboard motors MAVI POWER STEERING, which allows effortless steering in various navigation conditions and ensures comfort and safety through reduced steering loads.
Nord Compensati, a company active for over 50 years in the production of marine plywood, presents P-Wall, a solution for divisional and structural bulkheads that reduces weight and noise on board, improving comfort and vessel efficiency.
Sailadvm presents D.gree, a physical artificial intelligence platform that transforms onboard data into alerts and reports to reduce vessel downtime, warranty costs and operational risks. The proactive interface adapts to different profiles: shipyards, owners, fleet management and operators. The system can be integrated during refitting or construction phases.
Scenario exhibits the Wärtsilä Navi Trainer naval simulator for professional maritime training. The system supports the use of MNS 34 maritime navigation systems for ECDIS training according to current regulations. The platform enables learning through classroom training, cloud simulation, partial bridge and full bridge.
Tessilmare presents STRYKE, a fender profile with a square shape and two-piece structure, base and insert, for simplified installation. The 160-millimeter profile is available in continuous rolls, reducing waste and space requirements during transport and storage. The ability to choose the length allows continuous installation without visible cuts or joints. Available in three colors.
TBS Marine exhibits VEEM EXTREME, a custom combined propulsion system composed of propeller, shaft, brackets and rudder. The system reduces fuel consumption and carbon emissions by 18 percent compared to a traditional system. The improvement derives from the V or P bracket, the flow-aligned rudder, the patented shaft-propeller coupling that reduces stress on the shaft by 20 percent, and the Extreme propeller with NACA profile in ultra-resistant steel alloy.
