The fifth hull of the Pershing 140 was launched on 9 May at the Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Ferretti Group's facility for the construction of steel and aluminium super and mega yachts above 40 metres.
This unit features a colour scheme that sets it apart from the four previous hulls: the hull is finished in bright white rather than the aluminium grey used until now, at the owner's request. The choice extends to the interiors, which are finished in light tones throughout.
The layout has been modified in several areas compared to the standard configuration. In the stern beach area, the space normally used as a tender and water toy garage has been converted into a social area with a fully equipped central bar unit. The cockpit includes a lounge area with sofas and freestanding armchairs opposite the sunpad, connected by a few steps to a second, more private area designed as an outdoor dining space, fitted with glazed lateral openings and a table with handmade abstract decorations seating ten guests.
Inside the main deck, the dining area is centred on a circular table for eight with a bar unit to starboard. Beyond it lies the saloon with a sofa and four freestanding armchairs. The full-beam owner's suite forward has been customised with an L-shaped sofa and additional storage in place of the vanity desk.
The lower deck houses four guest cabins, all with en suite bathrooms and showers. Pullman beds have been installed at the owner's request: two cabins accommodate up to three guests each, while the two VIP cabins have double beds, one of which converts into two singles.
The sundeck is arranged as a panoramic terrace with a bar, sofas and poufs, and includes a second helm station with three seats for outdoor piloting. The foredeck houses a lounge area with a Jacuzzi and sunbathing zone.
The Pershing 140 is the result of a collaboration between architect Fulvio De Simoni, the Ferretti Group Strategic Product Committee chaired by engineer Piero Ferrari, and the Group's Engineering Department. The superyacht is powered by four MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines rated at 2,600 hp each with waterjet propulsion, delivering a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots.
Pershing, founded in 1985 and part of Ferretti Group since 1998, is based at its production facility in Mondolfo, an industrial site spanning over 84,500 m². The current range comprises nine yachts from 54 to 140 feet. The Pershing 140 is the brand's first all-aluminium superyacht.
