Ferrari Hypersail: Hull Demoulding Reveals the Yacht’s Final Form

Ferrari Hypersail has reached another key milestone in its development programme with the completion of the hull demoulding process — the extraction from the mould that has revealed, for the first time, the yacht’s definitive lines and surface geometry.

A particularly significant moment for the Prancing Horse project, marking the end of more than a year of work involving composite lay-up, curing cycles and the integration of the yacht’s primary internal structures. The hull shell, only a few millimetres thick, has been engineered through a highly sophisticated laminate schedule combining an outer skin with multiple layers of foam cores, honeycomb structures and carbon fibre laminates, all designed to achieve the optimum balance of lightness, stiffness and structural strength.

The demoulding operation therefore concludes one of the most delicate stages in the construction of Ferrari Hypersail and opens the way for the next phase, which will focus on the installation of the yacht’s mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. Following the recent unveiling of the livery, the project now moves into the stage leading towards future on-water testing.
