Breedendam unveils MTB Eightzero Flybridge concept

Having shaken up the motorboat world in the 1990s with the first Breedendam MTB 33, the range has been gradually increased to meet the demands of both new clients and repeat owners looking to go larger. The introduction of the MTB Sixzero Flybridge in 2021 was the most recent statement of intent and the concept for an MTB Eightzero Flybridge now builds on this success further.

New lengths

As the name suggests this latest development sees the MTB add an extra 20 feet of length and sophistication to the flybridge mix. The design includes a multifunctional aft deck that can be used for storing both a tender and various watersport toys while also serving as a superb area for al fresco dining and relaxation.

Enormous attention has been paid to optimising the way the outdoor and indoor zones blend together within the whole. The large cockpit area on the main deck aft can be completely closed off to become an integral part of the salon when the doors are open. The same applies the other way round: opening up the aft door area will make those sitting in the salon feel very much part of the action on the aft deck.

Options galore

The interior style of the MTB Eightzero Flybridge will be fully customised to the owner's wishes and a range of choices are available when it comes to the layout. One of the options includes a crew area forward together with a separate galley and crew mess. The luxurious full-beam master suite is situated amidships together with two guest cabins, each with ensuite bathrooms.

Several propulsion possibilities are available including hybrid drivetrains. The hotel load will be partly provided by a fuel cell, a new technology that is currently being installed on the MTB Sixzero under construction at the Breedendam yard.

Future-proof

"The MTB Eightzero Flybridge is a yacht designed for connoisseurs seeking something fresh, distinctive and yet completely timeless," comments designer Guido de Groot. "A Breedendam is not intended to be a fashion statement in the way one sees with many new motoryachts today. Our goal is to offer clients iconic shapes that set their boat apart from anything else in the marina, now and far into the future. We look forward to working together with owners who know exactly what they like and how to apply that to their bespoke Breedendam."
