On the occasion of the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9–14), FIM | Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi offers an exclusive preview of the new 560 Contessa: a project that marks the shipyard’s entry into the upper-tier sport fly yacht segment. This is a natural evolution in the brand’s growth path, which continues to look to the future with vision and consistency, all while remaining true to its founding pillars: refined design, innovation, and a strong craftsmanship identity.
With the 560 Contessa, FIM expands its design horizons while staying faithful to its signature style. The result is a compact, dynamic, and elegant sport fly yacht, where balanced proportions and taut lines blend harmoniously. The flybridge integrates seamlessly into the boat’s profile, enhancing its formal essentiality while creating new functional spaces designed for more versatile and engaging cruising.
In keeping with the range’s philosophy, the 560 Contessa adopts a design approach focused on the FIM Driving Experience—an immersive driving concept centered around the owner, developed in collaboration with Designworks, the BMW Group’s innovation studio, and first introduced aboard the 640 Contessa. Born from in-depth knowledge on intuitive technologies, automotive-inspired materials and ergonomics, this philosophy elevates the pleasure of being at the helm and defines one of the most recognizable features of the Contessa range, delivering memorable, intuitive, and emotional moments of navigation.
The 560 Contessa was developed in close synergy with two outstanding partners: design firm aLOT for the exterior styling, and studio NEROCARDINALE for the interiors. The ongoing dialogue between the shipyard and these studios has led to a yacht that interprets the brand’s values in a contemporary key, blending aesthetic, comfort, and technologyto meet the expectations of discerning and sophisticated owners.
This will also be the first yacht in the world to feature an innovative, patented emergency flotation system, designed to guarantee maximum safety for both the vessel and passengers in the event of impact, hull breach, or grounding. This cutting-edge solution reflects the shipyard’s forward-thinking mindset and its commitment to delivering a yachting experience without compromise.
Alongside the preview of its latest model, FIM will also showcase two open walk-around models: the 500 Regina and the 440 Regina—both embodying a functional, sophisticated design and a meticulous focus on build quality.
The flagship 500 Regina combines onboard comfort, smart technologies, and flexible layouts, while the 440 Regina impresses with its generous spaces, including fold-down terraces, modular areas, and sustainable materials.
Once again this year, the FIM experience in Cannes will be enhanced by the presence of select partners who share the brand’s core values of craftsmanship, style, and attention to detail.
Foglizzo Leather, a leader in Italian leather craftsmanship, created an exclusive selection of accessories from the "Domus" line, while BertO furnished the yachts’ exterior spaces with pieces from the Outdoor SOUNDS Collection, celebrating the synergy between nautical aesthetics and home-like comfort.
The experiential journey is further enriched by the “Tracce” project, developed in collaboration with Angelino Artworks, a custom art & design studio. FIM will showcase custom-designed helm wheels created by the artist: unique pieces that transform a functional detail into a symbolic and identity-driven object, capable of conveying the visions, emotions, and aspirations of those who take the helm of their own yacht.
