Van der Valk Shipyard has launched the 35-metre motor yacht Jangada, with sea trials scheduled to commence shortly. The vessel represents the third collaboration between the yard and the same owner, following a predecessor that received a World Superyacht Award nomination in 2020.
Designed by Nick Top and Guido de Groot, Jangada features an additional deck compared to her predecessors while maintaining the elegant raised pilothouse profile that characterised the earlier builds. The exterior design employs graphic lines to integrate the increased volume into a cohesive aesthetic.
INTERIOR AND LAYOUT
The interior showcases whitewashed wood details combined with architectural functionality. The layout has been specifically configured to accommodate the owner's family lifestyle, with a full-beam master suite positioned on the main deck foredeck. Lower deck cabins have been tailored for the owner's children and grandchildren, while a dedicated gym provides alternative exercise options.
Large glass surfaces in the main saloon, paired with 2.6-metre-high ceilings, create an open atmosphere and extensive sightlines. The wheelhouse lounge offers unobstructed views when at anchor, with dashboard screens designed to fold away discreetly.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
A notable engineering element is the 4.5-metre jet-stream pool on the flybridge deck, with a capacity of 7,200 litres. The installation required a dedicated warm-water tank below the tender garage. The yacht's design emphasises separation between crew and guest areas, with comprehensive insulation planned to minimise noise transmission throughout the vessel.
