CMC Marine unveils Its Latest Technological Innovations at the Genoa International Boat Show

CMC Marine will be exhibiting at the upcoming Genoa International Boat Show (Upper Hall B, Stand TN06), where it will introduce a range of new developments designed to enhance the efficiency, comfort, and performance of systems for yachts and superyachts. 
 
Among the most advanced innovations is the new range of LA (Low Aspect Ratio) fins, entirely designed and developed by the company's Research & Development department. An evolution of the well-established Stabilis Electra LR fins, the new models feature an optimized configuration that reduces hydrodynamic drag by up to 30%. This result is achieved through a modern rounded-edge profile specifically engineered to minimize turbulence while underway. The solution significantly enhances overall system efficiency, helping to reduce fuel consumption while increasing onboard comfort during navigation and improving stability at anchor. The range is available for Stabilis Electra stabilizers equipped with fins from 2.10 to 7 square meters. 

In the field of stabilization, CMC Marine is also expanding the Waveless STAB family with the introduction of the new 50 and 60 models. Designed to deliver high performance within compact dimensions, these systems combine a small footprint with outstanding stabilizing capability, extending the application range of the STAB series to yachts of 40 meters and above. 

The Dualis Electra line is also being enhanced with a new series of five-blade propellers. Fully developed by the company's R&D team, this configuration has been engineered to improve the maneuvering experience through quieter operation and greater efficiency. Thanks to the new blade geometry, thrust fluctuations can be reduced by up to 30%, delivering tangible benefits in terms of smoother maneuvers and increased onboard comfort. 

The boat show will also host the debut of CMC Marine's new capacitive touchscreen display, featuring a completely redesigned user interface and excellent performance even in bright sunlight conditions. The new unit offers rapid responsiveness and is equipped with CAN NMEA 2000 ports for seamless integration with the vessel's onboard network. Through the system, users can manage and monitor key data such as navigation signals and GPS information, while benefiting from a more intuitive and comprehensive interface. 

Visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to learn more about the Energy Recovery System (ERS), the technology developed by CMC Marine and inspired by the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) introduced in Formula 1. The system recovers the energy generated during the fin braking phase and reuses it within the stabilization process. This approach eliminates power peaks and can reduce overall energy consumption by up to 50%.  

Finally, numerous vessels equipped with CMC Marine stabilization and control systems will be on display throughout the marina, highlighting the growing adoption of the company's solutions and the trust placed in them by shipyards and yacht owners worldwide.
