Esthec has found a creative way of supporting its clients during the COVID-19 restrictions by inviting visitors to take a Virtual Tour of its groundbreaking Bolidt Innovation Center. As an integral part of the Bolidt group, Esthec is represented in the Bolidt Innovation Center. It's the place where co-creation, innovation and experience come together. Where designers, architects and other focus groups can be inspired to dream about the unlimited possibilities Esthec has to offer.

The Bolidt Innovation Center, which is remaining open to continue the pioneering research and development work that simply cannot be done from home generally accepts visitors only under strict conditions –however, it is now accessible via Virtual Tours using the latest technology. Even under these special circumstances and in the face of  the current travel restrictions, Esthec is able to keep you informed about our materials, new developments and designs in the different applications.

Outside the box
Esthec has a reputation for innovation and creativity, needed now more than ever in these uncertain times, to continue to drive the yachting sector forward. “The difficult situation we are now all in forces us to think creatively and outside the box on the way we work, where we work and how we can continue to  collaborate and co-create,” says Marcel van der Spek, founding partner of  Esthec. “So we are excited that our customers can still experience the Bolidt Innovation Center virtually, if not physically.”

A dedicated team at Esthec is now ready to give visitors the grand Virtual Tour of the unique facilities.  Peer over the shoulder of a colour specialist while they make samples, join in on a brainstorming session about new decking designs, getting into the real meaning of sustainability and experience the difference of these values,  visually feel the grip of the deck enhancing passenger safety on yachts. Together, if not in person, projects can be managed in much the same way as always.  Van der Spek adds, “You will still get a chance to learn about our products and the chemistry behind them, and explore the creative possibilities that they can unleash. Each of the Virtual Tours will be customized specially for individuals and for the industry they work in.”

Designers & architects
The Bolidt Innovation Center has proven to be a hugely popular attraction with around 5,000 visitors passing through its doors in 2019. Designers & architects were particularly drawn by the chance to interact with Esthec in this way, with representatives from various industries.

“We believe that we can offer our stakeholders – from architects to yacht and home owners –a unique and invaluable virtual experience that will affirm our belief in “no limits” . The aim is to provide confidence that we have the very best, durable and sustainable solutions for the applications of our stakeholders,” says Van der Spek.
