TRANSPARENT HEAD-UP DISPLAY

Among the season’s most successful solutions is the I-Bridge®, which was first installed on the new Sanlorenzo 64m M/Y Attila and includes a transparent Head-Up Display. In the Head-Up Display solution, navigation data is sent by the instruments to the transparent display, which makes it easier for the captain to check the necessary data and still remain fully focussed on steering the yacht. The head-up allows to overlay the main data(such as course, waypoint, AIS and ARPA targets) onto the actual navigation view, in addition to providing all the other useful information.

PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN TEAM ITALIA AND ROLLS-ROYCE

In 2019 a new partnership was established between TEAM Italia and Rolls-Royce (and its MTU department). The road map of this collaboration includes innovation and digitalisation that aim at developing the new MTU SmartBridge, a new integrated bridge available from 2020 not just for megayachts but for standard models as well. The modular concept underlying the new bridge solution satisfies the requirements of standard yachts, which can be customised according to the owners’ requests.

The new solutions will have one development platform which will implement the TEAM Italia I-Bridge® with the Onyx monitoring of all onboard systems and, additionally, of the propulsion system, up to managing the cloud data. This will make it easier for users to deal with all vessel management activities, including the “Analytics” activities that are essential for the engineering departments of shipyards.

DISCOVER THE I-BRIDGE® AIR WINGS AT THE TEAM ITALIA STAND – SUPERYACHT PAVILION 09.201

To confirm their determination to be always one step ahead, studying new concepts of integrated bridge based on "bridge usability" and "distributed electronics", the TEAM Italia experts at the METS stand (SuperYacht Pavilion 09.201) are at disposal to provide explanations and live demonstrations of the innovative I-Bridge® Air Wings, the integrated nav-com solution for megayachts that has distributed electronics combined with state-of-the-art design for all-round wheelhouses. With its 100% Italian design and through internally developed ergonomics studies, I-Bridge® Air Wings ensures full usability and high safety standards.

The force behind this constant innovation is a team of eight people, the Research & Development department of TEAM Italia. They are constantly assessing the technologies in the various sectors and testing them to see if they are compatible with the world of yachting (which has specific requirements), before developing products based on the validated technologies.
