M/Y Project T One Off, the 45-metre CdM explorer yacht with exterior design by Cassetta Yacht Designers and naval architecture by Hydro Tec, has one of the most advanced AV/IT systems in its class, thanks to a custom solution designed and delivered by Videoworks. The project showcases the company's client-first approach, combining powerful technology with seamless, intuitive use – perfectly tailored to the owner's vision.

“This was a smooth and enjoyable project,” said Mario Minardi, who led the early design phase and is now Operations Manager at Videoworks Americas. “The owner knew exactly what he wanted: an AV/IT system that felt simple day to day, but could also power full-on entertainment experiences. That clarity helped us focus on what really mattered.”

Lifestyle technology

At the heart of the system is a centralised Crestron setup, which controls all AV, lighting, HVAC and blinds via iPads via a unified, intuitive interface for both guests and crew.

The sky lounge is a standout feature and fitted with a Samsung 85" 8K Neo QLED for cinema-level viewing. Behind the scenes, Crestron NVX handles 4K60 HDR content distribution over a standard 1G network, ensuring flawless video throughout the yacht. Sonos integration and Apple AirPlay allow effortless streaming from personal devices.

For audio, the system is equally impressive. Sonance VP series speakers deliver immersive 5.1 surround sound indoors, while K-Array Domino and Rumble speakers ensure high-performance playback on deck. Carefully placed subwoofers in both indoor and outdoor zones provide deep, balanced bass – whether you're relaxing or hosting a party. The sundeck even includes a dedicated DJ input, Ethernet, and power outlets, so professional DJs can plug in and perform on the fly.

Domeless by design

Project T One Off is one of the first Videoworks projects to go fully domeless, replacing bulky VSAT domes with sleek, modern connectivity tech. The yacht features Starlink’s Flat High-Performance antenna, delivering fast, reliable satellite internet even while underway.

Working alongside Starlink is WaveHunter, a cutting-edge system with 24 directional antennas designed to capture 5G signals from multiple shore stations – extending high-speed coverage as the yacht approaches or leaves port. To further enhance signal availability below deck, a Stella Doradus GSM repeater system boosts 4G connectivity where it’s typically weakest – a rare feature for a 45-metre vessel.

Security & remote support

The onboard network runs on Ubiquiti Wi-Fi 6, providing strong, low-latency wireless coverage throughout the yacht’s interior and exterior spaces. A Kerio NG firewall delivers enterprise-grade protection with antivirus, web filtering, user-based access controls, and automatic internet failover – ensuring both speed and security, even when switching between connections.

Security was a top priority for the owner. The yacht is equipped with a CCTV system featuring four PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras and four fixed dome cameras, all linked to a central NVR system for easy monitoring, recording, and remote playback.

To support long-term reliability, the system was also designed with remote servicing readiness. With the owner’s permission, Videoworks technicians can remotely access the system for diagnostics, software updates, and troubleshooting – saving time and avoiding unnecessary service visits.

Collaboration is key

From concept to completion, this project reflected Videoworks’ commitment to aligning system design with client expectations – not just in features, but in feel. The result is a system that performs at the highest level while staying easy to use, day in and day out.

“There’s nothing excessive here – just smart, solid technology executed well,” adds Michele Rossini, System Engineer at Videoworks. “It’s exactly the kind of project where working closely with the client makes all the difference.”
