The battle to crown the top eSailing nation is now down to just eight remaining teams, following an entertaining week of First Round matches in the eSailing Nations Cup.
Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands have all made the Quarter Finals.

What's happened so far?

The fleet races for seeding took place on Saturday 10 October, which saw the top three teams progress straight through to the Quarter Final.

The competition was fierce from the very beginning, as Spain took the first spot with 96 points, followed by Great Britain with 103, and Italy with 105.

The remaining 10 teams went head-to-head in five knockout regattas during the last week, and after some intense racing, five more teams have now joined the trio in the Quarter Finals.

These First Round matches were incredibly close, often coming down to the final races to decide the winning team. You can watch these again on the eSailing Facebook page, or World Sailing's YouTube channel.

Four regattas will take place in the Quarter Final, following the same format of races as the First Round.

There will be 10 v 10 races, testing the ability of the teams to work together, as well as Match Races, 2 v 2, 3 v 3 and 5 v 5. A range of boats will be used during races, and the best eSailing nations will need to be versatile, balancing pace in the faster boats with tactical decision-making in the slower boats.
