The upcoming Barcelona Boat Show features more brands, sectors and experiences
The Barcelona International Boat Show has already secured 70% of its exhibition space and confirmed the participation of more than 130 leading companies, five months ahead of the event. Held from 14 to 18 October at Port Vell, this edition will introduce new sectors and experiential areas, further consolidating its position as Spain’s leading trade show for nautical sports and leisure.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona with the collaboration of the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), the 63rd edition will once again bring together the national and international nautical community, showcasing a wide range of vessels and sizes. The exhibition, expected to host more than 200 exhibitors, will include everything from small and medium-sized boats to yachts over 16 metres, as well as one of the largest catamaran displays in Europe.
The event will feature prestigious brands and shipyards such as Groupe Beneteau, a global leader in recreational boat manufacturing, which will present its motor and sailing brands Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon and Excess. Other confirmed exhibitors include Bayliner, Mercury, Fjord, Bluegame, Navan, Quicksilver, Sea Ray and X-Yachts.
This year’s edition will also welcome brands such as Aventura, Bali, De Antonio Yachts, Dufour, Girbau, Highfield, Honda, Karnic, Kawasaki, Kumbra, Leopard, Maxim, Pardo, Pirelli, Raymarine, Sasga, Saxdor and Sunreef, outlining one of the most comprehensive and attractive line-ups in the show’s recent history.
The President of the show, Luis Conde, stated: “We are very excited, because the strong response from the industry leads us to anticipate that 2026 will be an outstanding edition, once again highlighting the Boat Show’s role as an essential information and business platform for recreational boating in Spain.”
Jordi Carrasco, General Director of the ANEN, added: “The nautical summer season begins in a context of market stability, having recovered ground compared to the previous year. Registration figures reflect steady performance and place the sector in a situation of normality during the peak summer months.”
In the first five months of 2026, registrations reached 2,228 units, representing a 10.6% year-on-year increase, confirming the positive trend in Spain’s nautical sector.
New sectors and enhanced experiences
The show will organise its offering across Port Vell based on boat types and industry sectors.
Under the theme SeaMotion, Moll de la Fusta will host two major new features. The first is Experience Water, a dedicated area for in-water product and equipment demonstrations. The second is a covered pavilion housing two new themed zones: Marinas & Harbour Facilities, focusing on the strategic role of marinas in the nautical sector and marine tourism, and Diving, Shopping & Water Sports, showcasing diving, water sports and the nautical lifestyle for both professionals and enthusiasts.
In addition, this dock will once again host leading motor yacht brands on the water, as well as the sports boat and equipment sector.
Meanwhile, sailing boats and catamarans will be displayed at the Moll d’Espanya and Marina Port Vell docks. The latter will also host the show’s large Village, featuring several bars and restaurants, and offering high-quality gastronomy, along with dedicated networking areas.
This edition will also expand its sea trial programme for prospective buyers, aiming to make purchasing decisions easier and strengthening the Barcelona Boat Show’s position as the European event with the widest range of on-water experiences.
The event’s Director, Josep Antoni Llopart, said: “In 2026, we are committed to expanding the show’s offering to enhance the experience for both exhibitors and visitors, whether professionals or passionate boating enthusiasts.”
In this vein, the Boat Show’s NavegaYA initiative will allow recently qualified Recreational Boat Skippers (PER) – from 2025 and 2026 – to attend the show free of charge. The aim is to bring them closer to boating, support first-time vessel purchasing and provide access to the full range of products and services on display, including clubs, marinas and charter companies.
Additionally, to reach wider audiences, the Boat Show has signed a collaboration agreement with the Blaumarí Music Festival, taking place this June at Port Vell. The show will provide the floating infrastructure for the festival stage. The agreement also grants Boat Show ticket holders discounted prices for the music festival featuring top national and international artists.
With all these elements, the 63rd edition of the Barcelona International Boat Show is shaping a landmark event for the entire nautical community, bolstering its role as a key meeting point for business, innovation and the international projection of the nautical industry.
