The Valencia Boat Show will host in 2020 the first edition of Fishow, the first international recreational fishing show in Spain, which will be held in the context of the event in Valencia. This new section will be completely dedicated to recreational fishing, and will include the exhibition and sale of boats, materials and accessories related to the sport which has many enthusiasts worldwide.

The new Fishow aims to be a meeting point between companies, professionals and recreational fishing enthusiasts, with an area of over 5.000 m2 that will include space under cover and an exhibition pool to exhibit boats. A unique event to showcase products, share experiences and carry out activities and presentations of the latest developments in the sector.

“Fishing is a sector which due to its characteristics deserves indeed its own space. Our aim is to bring together the greatest and most innovative offer possible and build an event that we are certain will have a long trajectory,” said Nacho Gómez – Zarzuela, the director of the Valencia Boat Show.

“Surprisingly, Spain is one of the few countries in Europe that does not have an international show dedicated exclusively to recreational fishing. As professionals of the sector and lifetime enthusiasts, we were missing an event of this calibre, so we decided to host this event for all the fishermen and professionals that make up this world and, what better way to do so than together with the Valencia Boat Show?” said Adrián Vidal Vogt and María Bermúdez, the founders and managers of Fishow.

Registrations open
Both Fishow and the Valencia Boat Show have already opened registrations for exhibitors, which this year will have the new possibility of contracting private pontoons personalised with the boatyard’s brand image. Also, the allocation of exhibition space will be done in order of contracting.

The Valencia Boat Show, which is organised by the Union de Empresas Náuticas (UEN) and La Marina de València, will repeat in 2020 the strategic combination of a professional area or Boatowners Area for the exhibition and sale of boats, accessories and marine services – in which the Fishow will be located -, and an area open to the public for free which is a veritable festival of the sea with concerts, gastronomy, testing of marine equipment and activities for the whole family.

The event has also announced that the Expo Area open to the public will double its area in 2020 to include associations, clubs, charter companies, and accessories. The Boatowners Area will have the new feature of product segmentation, with areas dedicated to engines, electronics and engineering, an area for boat distributors with unrestricted sea trials, an exclusive catamaran section and an area for inflatable boats and RIBs.

The high conversion rates of the event and the great satisfaction of the exhibitors, together with the competitive rates and the possibility of trying the boats at sea, are some of the main incentives for companies when it comes to deciding on taking part in the event. In fact, 40% of the 2019 exhibitors confirmed during the last edition of the event their presence in 2020.
