Thompson, Westwood & White and Viareggio SuperYachts announce sale

of new-build VSY 64m project

The recently renamed brokerage firm Thompson, Westwood & White Yachts (TWW) is proud to announce, together with the Viareggio SuperYachts management and sales team, the sale of the new-build VSY 64m project, currently in construction at the Viareggio shipyard. Peter Thompson and Jean-Claude Carme of TWW, thank the entire team involved in this project.

The VSY 64 Project 003 is the third in a series with a timeless design by Espen Oeino that benefits from the success of her sister ships M/Y Sealyon (ex Candyscape II) and M/Y RoMa. The yacht’s interior will be designed by Darnet Design of Nantes, France.

With delivery scheduled in less than 24 months – September 2018 – the yacht will integrate advanced technical solutions and enhanced engineering from M/Y 72m StellaMaris, such as a dynamic positioning system with diesel electric stern thruster. A Kongsberg integrated control system will provide seamless integration of Navigation, Propulsion Control and Ship Automation functionality.

The yacht will also integrate leading-edge environmental systems and programmes, an approach that is of particular interest to the buyer who intends to cruise in remote areas of the world in a spirit of respect for the environment and marine life.

The yacht will feature six suites including a panoramic owner’s suite with exterior/interior terraces, a professional diving centre for all 12 guests and a sundeck complete with a large infinity pool aft and a cosy fire pit forward.

Since 2004 the shipyard VSY, based in Viareggio, Italy, has been engaged in building megayachts of over 60 metres and is now recognised as an emerging builder of the highest calibre at an international level.

Avant-garde technology, financial strength, timeless design, Italian style, total fulfilment of the customer’s wishes, real environmental protection, high respect for workforce health and safety: this is the essence of VSY philosophy that made a difference and helped achieve this sale.

VSY has won prestigious awards for their yachts Sealyon (ex Candyscape II), RoMa and Stella Maris, and obtained RINA Green Star Plus Gold and ABS ES (Environment Safety) and Lloyd’s EP (Environmental Protection) certification for their yachts. The shipyard is implementing green corporate governance in addition to the ISO 14001 Certification for quality, safety and environment.

Thompson Westwood White looks forward to following this project until her successful delivery to her owner.
