ArDeMo unveils 3 new yacht concepts in XO expedition yacht series
Italy-based yacht design house ArDeMo Yacht & Design has unveiled the renderings for a new XO expedition series of displacement crossover yachts, with a 37, 45 and 55-metre model.
The XO series comes from the innovative mind of designer Leonardo Cecchi, with each of the new models developed around the same main characteristics of flexibility, comfort, luminosity and privacy.
The series features a classic interior configuration, with staterooms on the lower deck, common areas on the main deck and a large outdoor area on the upper deck. The larger two models in the series features an upper deck owner's suite dedicated entirely to the owner. Crew accommodation is situated on the lower deck, while there is a captain's cabin alongside the helm station.
The series has been designed around flexibility and contact with the sea, side windows and aft doors on the upper deck can be fully opened to transform the interior area into a semi-alfresco space, with terraces over the sea. Cecchi explains, "This kind of dynamism give to all the guests big flexibility in sea life and, in case, allow different customers to change the final interior layout during the design process."
When asked to describe the series, Cecchi adds "This new series of crossover yachts would be a balance between technical features of expedition yacht, and explorer yachts on the market. As you can see the decks distribution is more centred then explorer or expedition yacht, to give to each project the right balance between exterior areas and interior spaces and to emphasise comfort and connection between exterior and interior thank to the openable system for doors and windows. This series also think about owners privacy, giving on the smallest yacht a separate area to the bow with a starboard access, on the 45-metre the owner area is designated on the aft part of the UD and in the biggest yacht we find a compete owner deck on the UUD. All the crew members and captain have these spaces separate from guests for an easy work and living."
"All the models offer more comfort and bigger exterior areas than the competitors, obviously based on size, and give to each customer the possibility to play with the interior destination of the common areas easily depending on their needs."
