"The Patrone 45' was born from the success of the Patrone 100 and based on requests from many owners to recreate the same charm and elegance of that 10-meter model on a larger scale," said architect Tommaso Spadolini, as he began to explain the genesis of the model that confirms his collaboration with the Moreno family and Patrone Moreno shipyard. "Thus, with the Patrone 45', our goal was to design an open cruiser for those who want to spend the entire day outdoors without sacrificing interior comfort. Light and space were the guiding principles in every decision, ensuring a constant visual connection with the sea below deck thanks to the large windows."

After its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, the new Patrone 45' continues to generate great interest among enthusiasts at the Genoa Boat Show, where it is moored at pier P (berth P101 – stand BP01).

Classic roots, modern style

Staying true to the craftsmanship that has defined the Patrone brand for over a century, Tommaso Spadolini developed the new Patrone 45' project based on the concept of onboard conviviality, a priority for Gianarnaldo and Benedetta Moreno, the fifth generation of the shipyard. The aim was to reinterpret the classic allure of the Ligurian gozzo in a modern way. The result is a 14-meter vessel, free from passing trends, offering a remarkable sense of space both inside and outside, with a wide range of customization options. At the same time, great attention was given to seaworthiness: the hull, derived from other models of the yard, is powered by a V-Drive transmission and a pair of 440 hp Yanmar turbodiesel engines, allowing it to reach a top speed of 31 knots and cruise between 18-23 knots.

The boat's profile remains faithful to the pure, minimalist lines characteristic of the brand’s tradition. The deck features all the hallmarks of the Ligurian gozzo, offering multiple sunbathing areas and wide, well-protected side passages from the hull's aft bulwarks and bow handrails. The ability to move safely and easily, even while underway, is enhanced by the onboard spaces, which are larger than average for this segment.

In the spacious cockpit,

-the Spadolini design studio created three different layouts:

-C lounge, with a large dinette and C-shaped seating which is convertible into a sunbed, or

-Y sofa, with a large sunbed and outdoor dinette, or

-LL chaise-longue, with two longitudinal sunbeds along the hull sides, which can also serve as seating for the adjacent tables.

The shipyard, dedicated to its focus on conviviality, chose to present the first unit with the large C-shaped seating aft. The sofa comfortably seats up to eight people, and by lowering the table, a second large sunbed can be created. "An interesting solution, specifically requested by Gianarnaldo Moreno, is the hydraulic lift system for the aft sofa, making it easier to access the engine room for maintenance. This feature reflects the experience of someone who truly knows life at sea," remarked Tommaso Spadolini.

Moving forward towards the bow, there is a double galley unit, customizable to the owner's preferences. The helm station's modern instrumentation blends perfectly with the boat’s style. The seating system, designed for four people, includes two small sofas to ensure convivial moments between the driver, owner, and guests even while underway.

The galley and helm are protected by a T-top that can be integrated with an extendable canopy, supported by carbon poles, both aft and forward. Additionally, the aft area can be enclosed with a curtain, including the C-shaped seating, making it usable in unfavorable weather or during the autumn months.

At the bow, there is another large 6 sqm sunbathing area leading to the eco-teak deck extending to the bowsprit, which conceals the windlass and anchor, making it perfect for diving or enjoying romantic moments of contemplation.

"The new flagship is a true allegory of happiness at sea. Its spacious areas, both indoors and outdoors, transcend the 14-meter length to offer welcoming and comfortable spaces designed for both adults and children. Because joy is not a destination but a journey to be shared with those we care about most,"added Benedetta Moreno, justifying the name of the first unit, which embodies elegance, comfort, and the Italian spirit of ‘Allegria’ (joy) on the water.

Six interior layouts focused on comfort

The shipyard’s craftsmanship and Tommaso Spadolini's experience harmoniously come together in six below-deck configurations, based on three main versions:

-Family, with three cabins,
-Friends, with two cabins,
-Couple, with three cabins.

Each configuration ensures that a second bathroom is always included, offering ample customization possibilities. These options include bathrooms of various sizes, a second kitchen, and/or an open space dinette. The living spaces are surprisingly large and bright, thanks to the large windows that extend nearly to the bow, furnished with refined materials: teak furniture, natural linen and silk fabrics.

"The only element we wanted to keep fixed is the owner's cabin with its ensuite bathroom at the bow; everything else can be tailored to the future owner's requests, including the option for a second covered kitchen or just one in the cockpit,"Spadolini noted.

Sustainable materials for environmental respect

Tradition and sustainability blend perfectly in the construction choices of the Patrone 45’. The deck is made of eco-teak, a green solution that combines aesthetic elegance with easy maintenance. The natural teak interiors are treated with low-impact, water-based paints. The T-top has been designed to house solar panels, which provide renewable energy and cover a significant part of the boat's energy consumption. This commitment reflects the shipyard’s philosophy, where every design and production choice is aimed at sustainability and environmental respect.
