Genoa, 17th November 2021 - With three Beneteau Figaro 3 moored at the Porto Antico of Genoa, the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Veloce-Fincantieri Cup continues between the Northern and Central Tyrrhenian Sea. The race is the longest non-stop regatta in the Mediterranean organized by Difesa Servizi SpA, SSI Events in collaboration with the Marina Militare.

The six crews still in the water are included between the Elba island, where Team ENIT (Irene Bezzi-Pietro D'Alì) is now in transit, followed by Team Acone (Catherine Hunt-Alexis Thomas) 8 miles in the wakes, and San Felice Circeo, where Team Fratelli Visconti (Lisa Berger-Alex Laline) overtaking the crew of Aeronautica Militare (Margherita Digrazia-Giancarlo Simeoli). A useful moment to repay the Berger-Laline duo for the efforts spent to recover ground and leave the last position after the forced stop in San Benedetto del Tronto, due to the mainsail failure.

Team Fratelli Visconti now has Genoa TOR (Dominique Knuppel-Guillerno Altadill) "in sight" : the 7 miles that separate them appear nothing in front of the more than 250 that they have still to sail to reach Genoa.

Head and tail of the fleet are united by the Marina Militare (Elisabetta Maffei-Federico Piani), in sixth position right in front of Ladispoli, and Team Sanfer (Maggie Adamson-Matteo Ichino), located further back, off Terracina.

The fresh wind from the south-east that is accompanying the rise of the fleet should continue to blow also over the next 24 hours, albeit easing especially on the Ligurian Sea. According to the weather models, actually quite conflicting in terms of ETA, Team ENIT is expected in Genoa tomorrow, while the last ones should reach the Ligurian capital next Friday.
