Hailed by all as the One Design class of the near future, the Cape 31 is now also available on the Italian market and will be exclusively distributed by Savona Shipyard working in collaboration with 31 North Yachting - Official Sales Agent of the Cape 31.

The historic shipyard, based in Savona, was founded by Giorgio Tortarolo, a "serial winner" in the sailing world who runs the company together with his son Martino, and will be the operational and logistical headquarters of the new Class, which is already particularly well established in England and in the U.S., where numbers are well into double digits.

Designed by Mark Mills, a designer well known for his revolutionary ideas, this innovative 31-footer built by Cape Performance Sailing Ltd is a high-performance boat, suited for one-design sailing and to succeed in regattas governed by IRC regulations. 31 North are behind the success of the Class in the UK having brought in the first boat and since sold over 40 hulls to new owners. They are working with global agents to bring the fun around the world.

Born to be fast and fun, Cape 31 has excellent marine skills, is easy to handle and trailerable: a project ready to redefine the standards of international one-design sailing.

Thanks to the Tortarolos' many years of experience in racing and team consulting, Savona Shipyard will be the Italian reference point for the Cape 31 Class, also established in France, demonstrating that once again the Mediterranean will be one of the most active racing areas.

Savona Shipyard is equipped with a facility that can meet every technical need and is preparing itself to launch the first hull early next year: a choice that will give interested owners and teams the opportunity to test the Cape 31 in Italy.

Savona Shipyard will follow future owners step by step, optimizing their boats with custom made solutions.

The newly formed Cape 31 Italian Class aims to create a circuit of regattas in the most appreciated sailing venues and bring back the action among the marks under the spotlights. It will be presented and get operational in mid-December and its calendar will also include participation in major IRC regattas.
